The Villa was built over the early 2008 period and is now complete. It will be fully available for the 2009 holiday season, although it will be available for the late summer and winter 2008 on a 'trial' basis as well as for 'Winter sun', and we are taking bookings already!

Villa Eleni is located just outside the village of Agia Galini in southern Crete, overlooking the Libyan Sea. It is approximately 3km from the harbour area of the town. The villa has 3 double bedrooms (one double, one twin and one with bunk beds) and an open plan lounge/dining/kitchen with external balcony overlooking the sea (see photo below). There is a swimming pool and plenty of car parking space. Below is a view from the lounge balcony:
Villa Eleni is in a quiet location in the hills above the town and is ideally suited to families or those wishing a quiet holiday. Being in the hills at an approximate height of 500ft above sea level means there is always a breeze blowing as well as commanding views, making it a real pleasure to sit outside in the evening and admire the scenery and stars!
The Villa has been constructed to the best of local construction managed by a local estate agent with a local builder (http://www.cretanagora.com) and built to meet all modern regulations. It is easily accessible from the local town and also is near to several of the local beaches (see other pages on this web site). The historical sites are in in easy reach (Faestos, Gortys, Agia Triada and Spili). The historical legend of Icarus and Daedalus was based locally, and their statues can be seen in the town. Agia Galini town has numerous tavernas, shops, medical centre, boat trips and water sports facilities.
We chose this location as it met our needs for a nice place to have a holiday without the demands of the tourist traps on the north side of Crete, and to have less crowded beaches and sites of interest in easy reach. We holiday in this area ourselves and think you will find Villa Eleni welcoming and relaxing!
